SCOPE of Sound Systems:  Black Cat Sound Service can package sound systems from simple two speakers on stands to a multi-way multiple speaker system.  The current maximum "A"  system is comprised of up to 30 "boxes" or 30 speaker systems.  The speaker systems are a combination of low frequency boxes (12)  and two versions of "mid high" units (14).  The mid high units are either "near field" or "long throw" units.  All speaker systems are stacked (not configured to fly).  When stacked up the individual speakers for a system that is capable of covering a venue 200' wide and 300 feet deep with an even coverage of sound.  The "B" system is an 4 box system.
 

"Big Sound System" Front of House console is Yamaha 02r V2  8 aux, 8 bus 40 channel Digital Console.
 

NOTE: This system can be configured, in increments from a basic "club" system to 32 box system for a moderate sized venue (2000-3000 patrons).


Effects/drive rack

The FOH drive rack: dbx 166 house compressor, Rane ME60 graphic EQ.

AB International 1/3 oct. for monitor sends (2), Behringer Ultralink Pro MX882 (matrix mix function). Behringer Super-X Pro crossovers (2) for FOH systems. Peavey delay system processor IDL 1000 (2), DOD Crossover for Sub woofer processing.

The above noted equipment perform the analog equivalent to a digital system processor...

Pulizzi power distribution and conditioning.

The Yamaha 02r has processing on all channels and 2 effects units built-in.  The following effects rack is available with the "B" system and or as supplement to the "A" system.

The Effects rack: Compressors: 2 - Alesis 3630, 1- Behringer MDX-2400 and One Peavey CDS-2. Effects: (Digital reverb's)  Yamaha SPX 90 II, Alesis Micro verb III. Digital delay: Effectron. Auxiliary EQ: Peavey PME8 dual channel, four band parametric. Aphex Aural Exciter - Type B. Compact Disk and Audio cassette player.


Amp Racks

Power amplifiers: Peavey CS, QSC RMX and RAMSA amplifiers populate the 4 amp racks.

 A System: Two racks each with: 1- CS-1200, 1 - CS-800,  1 CS-400 and 1 RAMSA WP9220. Behringer MX882 line signal buffer amplifier. 

B System: Behringer MX882 line signal buffer, 1 ea. QSC RMX 850 and 1450,  Peavey PV8.5, 2 ea.  

All Amplifier racks have internal power distribution. Power supplied to amp racks via dual 30 amp circuits on a twist lock power feeders.
 

Auxiliary Power amplifiers rack: Peavey CS-900. RANE MA-6, 2 ea.


Speaker Systems

The speaker systems: Custom designed proprietary with three way active crossover.


-The low frequency cabinets use 1 ea. 18" driver in a bass reflex cabinet. (QTY 8) .

-Supplemental LF equipment: Electro - Voice Sentry IVB LF cabinets.  Long Throw, 'W' horns.  These "Vintage" horns sound very nice!  (QTY 4)

-The midrange of the mid - high systems are based on a 12" driver. One system is a front loaded short horn system with pattern control in the 90 x 90 degree radiation pattern. These systems are used where longer throw or pattern control is desired (QTY 8). The second mid - high system uses a dual 12" driver arraignment with a HF horn located between the drivers (MTM configuration) (QTY 4).

-Additional Christronix systems:  Mid-High units are configured with a 12" MF cone driver and a 1" titanium diaphragm compression driver on a CD horn (QTY 10)

-Supplemental MF equipment:  Altec 816A Horns.  15" Peavey 1501 driver.  Horn is 40 degree V by 90 degree Horizontal dispersion.  (QTY 4)  These systems are also quite "vintage" and sound really fine!

-2 ea. Christronix horn loaded speaker systems.  90 x 90 degree MF and 60 x 60 HF horn (DDS).  Passive crossover.  These speakers are used for front fill or side fill applications.

-2 ea. "Randy Horns"  These speakers are a 4 deep HF horn array.  The horns are 100 by 50 degree prior to stacking.  The wave front created by the horns is circular and blend well.

  Stage Monitor System


-Monitor System. Console: Yamaha 2408M. 24 inputs, 8 mix outputs. Two additional auxiliary busses provide for local effects sends or additional mixes.

The Monitors equipment rack contains: Alesis Microverb III and MXR digital delay effects units. The Graphic EQ's are AB International 1/3 octave units.

The cue amplifier (engineers wedge) is AB International Model 710B.  Active Bi-amplified system.

The stage monitor power amplifiers are Peavey.

The Stage Monitor speaker systems are custom, passive crossover 12" LF, 1" Titanium driver on a small horn and a Piezo super tweeter.



  Special Sound Systems

-Dinner Theatre System. Up to 10 small size three way speakers that can be placed at the head of a table.  This configuration effectively places the performers voices located at each table. This system is perfect for small scale presentations or productions of approximately 150-200 persons.
 

Special Sound Systems. Delay speakers. The proper coverage of large venues is best accomplished with the use of delay speakers. BCSS can provide 4 Delay Speaker stands that crank up to a height of 15' At this elevation a pair of modified, Peavey Stadia II speakers are suspended. These speakers are a 12" LF and a 1" compression driver on a short CD horn.  Each delay system is powered from one channel of a 300 watt per channel RAMSA amplifier. These systems have been used in conjunction with the main speaker systems described above to cover a two acre venue for a Classic Music "Pops" style as well as Jazz Band concerts.


Wireless Microphone System

15 channels total

 (11) UHF Wireless equipment. Nady 950 (1) and Nady RW-3 UHF (4) wireless.  Nady UHF-16 (6)

The Nady 950 is the best UHF unit that Nady has to offer.  The unit has 160 channels to choose from, heavy duty aluminum construction of hand held and belt pack units.

The Nady RW-3 is a high performance cost effective UHF system.  There are 4 belt packs and one hand held transmitters for this system.

The Nady UHF-16 is the newest economical frequency agile systems on the market.  They offer 16 channels to choose from.  This system has a full supply of hand held and belt back transmitters to choose from.

(4) VHF Wireless equipment. Nady Diversity Receiver model 650, 750 and RW-1 systems.

The VHF units have belt pack only transmitters.
