The Audio system installed in the Nevada Theatre is under the control of The Foothill Theatre Company. Most of the equipment is owned by FTC.
The current sound system is suitable for music and effects playback for theatrical productions as well as general P.A. applications.
Specifics:
The system is a discrete surround system with speakers located throughout the theatre:
The upstage speakers are in a position upstage above the grid line. There is a second set of speakers that are located above the grid at the mid-stage point (all 8" LF)
The FOH speakers are hung from the first electric. JBL Horn Loaded units (15" LF)
There are speakers at the rear of the house (8" LF)
There is a processor driven (dbx 120) sub woofer located up stage at the rear wall of the stage. Dual 18" compound mount
There are a pair of small Peavey P.A. speakers that can be used for under balcony or stage monitor (10", 8+ LF with a Piezo HF)
The system is operated as a manual, discrete surround system.
The system console is a Tascam M2524. 24x8x2. The unit has 4 aux buses. The console is usually connected in a "quasi two scene preset" mode from two CD players. i.e.

NOTES:
The speaker systems are decent quality HI-FI speakers. The sub woofer is a custom designed and built compound mount 2-18" driver system.
There are two dual channel amplifiers, Peavey M2600 and a Radio Shack 250 watt P.A. amp. All of the amps sound very good. The US speakers are dual channel, the FOH, ROH and SUB are wired mono.
Source machines:
The CD decks are a Gemini dual unit for deck ONE and TWO. Deck THREE is a Technics single deck. All decks can operate in an AUTO-CUE mode. This mode allows for a cue to play and then the deck pauses waiting for a start command.
A cassette deck is also available.
